Why you received a message from us, and what we hold

If Larkenfield wrote to you about a preview website for your business, this page explains why, what we hold, and how to make it stop.

What we hold

Your business name, trading address, phone number, opening hours, business category, your Google rating and review count, and where your business is listed. If you have a website, the email address published on it. Nothing else. We do not hold payment details, personal photographs, or anything about your customers.

Where it came from

Your public Google Business listing, and your own website if you have one. We do not buy lists.

Why we used it

To build a preview website for your business and offer it to you once. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f), and we have written down that assessment. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we email companies and limited liability partnerships only. We do not send marketing email to sole traders or ordinary partnerships without consent.

The preview itself

Your preview is a page we built. It is not your official website, it is hidden from search engines, and it carries a notice saying exactly that. The name, address, phone number, opening hours and Google rating on it come from your public listing. The layout and the sample service wording are ours, not yours. It deletes itself 30 days after we build it.

How to make it stop

Reply to our message with the word remove, or email support@larkenfield.com. We delete the preview and your details the same working day, and we add you to a list that stops us ever contacting you again. You do not have to give a reason.

Your rights

You can object to this processing at any time under Article 21 and we will stop immediately. You can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

How long we keep it

Thirty days from the day we build the preview, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If you become a customer we keep what we need for the order.
